Corinthians 13

Vs. 1: If I speak with gifted tongue or angels’
voices eloquence,
what is this, what is
this, if I do not know love?
Prophet’s voice, wisdom’s
sight, faith to move the hills:
If I have these I am
nothing, if I have not love.
Vs. 2: Love is patient, love is kind, love is never jealous,
never rude, never harsh,
and never harbors hate.
Bears all things, hopes
all things, love endures what comes.
Love rejoices, love
believes the dreams of ev’ryone.
Vs. 3: Love will never have an end, but as for tongues for prophecy,
they will end, they will
cease when the Lord shall come.
Faith abides, hope
abides, love abides in you.
Of these three the
greatest treasure is the gift of love.
Vs. 4: Make your aim then always love and ever seek the highest gift,
this will build, this
will grow, encouraging us all.
This will build, this
will grow, source of all your joy.
All one body, all one
life in loving as He loves.
