The Good Shepherd Folk Group is a contemporary music ensemble of
vocalists and instrumentalists who lead the assembly in song at the 10:00am mass on Sundays, as well as several other liturgical celebrations throughout the year.  Our music enables the assembly to be active participants in the mass, by encouraging those who gather to join together in song.  Music is an integral part of any liturgical celebration and very often, it is the music that touches people in a special way.  It enables the assembly to focus on a particular action, respond in a meaningful way or get in touch with their inner-most being.

We rehearse on Wednesday evenings from 8:00pm - 9:30pm in the church. Aside from the actual work of rehearsing the music and sharing our gifts and talents, this is an opportunity for us to gather as friends and support each other in times of joy as well as in times of sadness.  Many of us have been involved in parish life in various ways for a number of years, and others have joined our group to become more involved in the life of the parish.  We are always seeking to expand the group by attracting students in 9th grade or above, and adults of any age who have the ability to sing.  Anyone interested in learning more about the Good Shepherd Folk Group can contact the church office at 588-7689 and leave a message for Jim Marino.
