Good Shepherd's Definition of Choir:
choir (quyor), n.    1. a group of parishioners that join together each week to lead our fellow worshippers in song and prayer.    2. a group of people who genuinely care for each other and look forward to meeting at practices and Masses.    3. an assembly of people who join together in song sounding as one.

According to Webster's dictionary, a choir is a group of singers used in a Church Service.  However, the Good Shepherd Choir is so much more than that.  For the members, it's a place of belonging where we can share our diverse talents and bring something "extra" to each Celebration.  The genuine affection of our members for one another and our Ministry is reflected in the quality of our contribution to the Parish.

We owe so much to the dedication and devotion of those members such as Linda, Maryann, Peggy and Marge, who have been in the Choir for over 20 years!  We are so grateful for the ones who make us laugh, especially Anne D., Maryann and, of course, Rich.  We are also grateful for the ones who are not afraid to sing out the first note like Jayne, John,  Deirdre  and Ann S.  Honorable Mention belongs to our men, Rich, John, Red, Warren, Tommy and Charlie, who bring a richness that only men's voices can add.  Many have come, gone, and come back again.  (We are glad you are back, Lucy!)  We're grateful for those who work so hard and practice on their own, like Karen and Deirdre, so that they can be as good as they can be for all of us.  From our hard working Sopranos to our ever dependable Altos, each person contributes to Good Shepherd's Spiritual Life.

If you are interested in finding out more about us,  leave your name and phone number in the Church Office at 588-7689.

We practice on Thursday nights at 8 p.m. in the Church and we sing at the 12 noon Mass on Sundays.

Our Choir is open to all and auditions are never required!
