A PEACE AND JUSTICE GROUP

"I was a revolutionary when I was young and my prayer to God was, "Lord give me the energy to change the world." As I approached middle age and realized that half my life was gone without my changing a single soul, I changed my prayer to, "Lord, give me the grace to change all those who come in contact with me. Just my family and friends and I shall be satisfied." Now that I am an old man and my days are numbered my one prayer is, "Lord, give me the grace to change myself" If I had prayed for this right from the start, I should not have wasted my life." -Sufi Bayazid

We cannot impose peace on others we must become peace ourselves. We cannot seek justice, we must live it. If you are interested in peace and justice issues, you are cordially invited to join with a small group of like minded people as we begin through prayer and study to explore the Sermon on the Mount. Our goal is to understand and to live the Beatitudes, to become the people that Jesus described as blessed. "You have been told what is good, and what the Lord requires of you: only to do the right and to love goodness, and to walk humbly with your God." The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. Take the first step by calling Sue Swift.
