Why Should I Give to the Catholic Ministries Appeal?

Our Diocese By the Numbers

There are, in the Diocese of Rockville Centre: 1.4 Million Catholics, 133 Parishes, 3 Mission Churches, 391

Priests, 28 Seminarians, 85 Brothers, 1294 Sisters, 255 Deacons, 5 Hospitals, 3 Nursing Homes, 1 Hospice,

1 College, 11 High Schools serving over 12,000 students, 58 Elementary Schools serving over 25,000

students, Religious Educations Programs in every parish serving over 122,000 students, RCIA Programs

serving over 600 adults, Pastoral Formation Programs serving over 250 students. Last year, there were more

than 20,000 Baptisms and First Communions; 18,000 Confirmations; 4,900 Marriages; and 1 Priestly

Ordination. Please keep in mind that in addition to your supporting these Catholic Services and

Programs, 20% of your donation is earmarked for Good Shepherd. All funds over our goal of $58,200

will be returned to the parish. With your help, we are able to do so much! Please consider making a

donation to the appeal to bring us above our goal! No money is needed at this time!
